Launching New Facilities

Our approach to helping leadership teams launch new facilities has enabled sustained improvement in operational effectiveness, organisational capability, employment cost, and employee engagement. We have launched new facilities in different countries and sectors  – from manufacturing operations in the UK, Germany and Singapore, to sales offices in eastern Europe and training facilities in east London.  Our  work includes examples of resourcing facilities with new employees, and also examples where we have launched new facilities with existing employees. In both situations we have tailored our approach to establish the right culture, capability, and cost-structure to enable operational performance.

Some examples of our work

  • Launched new advanced manufacturing facility in UK with significant improvement in productivity and Right First Time performance following introduction of new manufacturing methods and new people practices.
  • Launched new S$700 million high-value manufacturing operations in Singapore with employment terms that enabled attraction and retention in a competitive local market, but also contained the impact on operational cost moving forward. A capability plan was delivered to enable new local workforce to achieve first production output ahead of plan.
  • Worked with an advanced engineering business to establish the business case and people plan to support a £100m+ investment in a new manufacturing facility, including identifying opportunities to incorporate new working practices.
  • Launch of new training campus and SME incubation centre, delivered on time and on budget, with occupancy and utilisation targets met.
